Use A Chair For More Power
|
|
The Problem Hitting powerless shots that have too much fade or slice spin with no consistency of contact. The Cause In
the backswing, your lower body slides outside of your back foot. This creates a reverse weight shift where the
upper body leans to the target. When
this occurs, the lead shoulder gets too active and the club travels from out to
in. ![]() The Solution Using
a chair (or bag stand), turn your upper body over the chair without your lower
body touching the chair. By replicating this feel, you will create a much more
powerful and consistent top of backswing which in turn produces a better down
swing ![]() ![]() Contributed by Tim Jankowski |
