Todd began his golf career in 1981. After working as a club professional for 15 years, He decided to completely turn his attention to teaching golf, opening Impact Golf in 1998. Scott McCarron, Robert Gamez, Shaun Micheel, Jay Williamson, Steve Jones, Paul Goydos, Stephanie Louden, and Hillary Lunke are among the PGA/LPGA professionals who have worked with Todd. Todd has been voted one of the Top 100 Golf Instructors in America by Golf Magazine since 1995 , as well as one of the 50 Greatest Teachers in America by Golf Digest. He has twice been named Teacher of the Year in the Illinois PGA. Todd has published over 70 articles in major publications, such as Golf Digest and Golf Magazine. Todd has also published two successful books; “Lights Out Putting” and “Saving Par”.

Michael was a founding instructor of the Todd Sones Impact Golf School in 1998 before being named Director of Instruction in 2007. Michael comes to us from Colorado after a successful collegiate career, graduating in 1997. He has diligently studied all areas of the game of golf and is an expert at teaching the full swing as well as short game to all types of golfers.

Beginning in 2001, Tim spent three years as an apprentice under Todd Sones and the Impact Golf Staff while completing a degree in psychology. Now in his fourth year as a full time instructor with Impact Golf, Tim has spent time at the PGA Tour Golf Academy and has worked with many competitive high school and collegiate players. Tim also specializes in working with new golfers and juniors, helping them to develop their games.

Jake is entering his second season with the Impact Golf Staff. His past experience teaching started at Chicago Golf Club in Wheaton where he was the Assistant/Teaching Professional for two years. Along with extensive training with Todd Sones, he has studied and observed many of the country’s Top 100 Teachers including: Dr. Jim Suttie, Dr. Gary Wiren, Craig Shankland, Bob Toski, Tom Patri, Rick Martino, Laird Small, Peter Krause, and Mike Adams.

Elaine has been teaching for over ten years, after a successful playing career as an amateur in Scotland. Most recently she taught at the Scottish National Golf Center in St. Andrews Scotland and then was the teaching professional at the Freiburg Golf Club in Germany. We are very excited to have Elaine join our team and know she will be a great asset to our program at Impact Golf. |
